I have a 2001 MDX. The dealer has the radio code as 15661 but when I call another dealer and give them the radio serial # (as recorded by the first dealer) they give me a code of 16246. I can't check the serial number with the "press 1 and 6 and on buttons simultaneously" trick because it doesn't work on '01 and '02 models. My radio serial number is B10418755. I have used up my errors (ten) but reset the radio both by pulling the negative battery cable and by removing the fuse. Both techniques reset the radio so that the word COdE comes up but when I enter either code it does not work. Has anyone else had this problem or can you help? I am pretty frustrated!

 

did you buy this used or are you the orginal owner and are you sure this is the orginal radio that came in that MDX and never has been replaced???

 

Frustrated? Why? It is a factory unit. IT still has an ancient Cassette player

 

Bring the radio to the dealership and provide the vehicle's registration information, and they will get you squared away. It's a breeze.
