5th gen obd2p13 running/converted onto JDM p13
i was planning to run my car with a pigtail from my 5th gen ECU to a JDM p13 i know that ecu runs at a higher compression etc...so i was wondering if it was possible and would i possibly have any break downs?etc...things that might not work rite or would i be in real need of a tune

hahahaha....well answer the question or dont even post something stupid like that it doesnt make you look any cooler.
if you get an obd1 conversion harness it will plug in and run. I run a p13 on my 98 and it has way better throttle response than the p5m did.

it will work fine, but you will have a speed limiter at ~120

thanks..damn i was wondering if that speed limiter would be on...guess i need it chipped then thanks once again.

so there will be no use of having an conversion harness wat about to a p28? but that would need to be chipped however to even run on the car correct

Yes it does Mr 94%!!!
Spend more time searching and less time posting!
You need to find an ECU with a 55mph speed limiter as you shouldn't be going faster than that. Youre obviously an idiot!

I would like to elaborate on this topic. I am doing a JDM OBD1 swap into my 98 SH next week. I plan on using the same wiring harness and switching around the components needed, such as the crank sensor, oil pump, distributor etc... in order to avoid a wiring nightmare. So after the swap is complete I will be able to use my stock ECU. I received the JDM OBD1 ECU with the motor and tranny, will I be able to use a jumper harness from my stock ECU to the OBD1 ECU and run without any problems and be OBD1?

I would recomend getting this http://passwordjdm.com/Passwor....aspx in addition to your ecu harness. Those two harnesses should be the only thing you need to convert it to obd1. I just wish I had known about it before I cut up my 96 engine harness.
All of my other pigtails on the obd2 harness plugged right up to the obd1 engine. But come to think of it I did use the obd2 T/B. It has the map sensor right on the top instead of on the firewall. You may want to consider using your sh T/B. Also I would leave the second O2 sensor in the cat. It uses a seperate harness and by leaving it alone you will be able to pass and emissions check by hooking up an obd2 ecu.

No emissions in Minnesota, but I do plan on using my entire SH intake manifold and T/B anyway. Will I even need that distributor harness if I am going to be swapping my OBD2 Distributor onto my OBD1 motor?
