Default distributor leak

I have a motor oil leakin from my distributor. I installed a new o-ring for it but that didn't fix the problem. I'm sure someone knows the answer to this

Does the oil leak outside of the distributor, against the head? Right where the O-ring is? Then you have to look for scratches in the surfaces where the O-ring seats.

It's also possible that the leak isn't really from the distributor O-ring. That O-rins sits in a bore formed by the last cam cap bolted to the head. It may be leaking out from the surface between the cam cap & the head. Use HondaBond or Permatex Grey for that.

If it's leaking INSIDE the distributor, coming out where the distributor cap sits, then you need a new distributor body. I don't think that internal shaft seal is replaceable.
