Default 90 Accord #3 cylinder bad

Need help on this one...90 Accord skips from time-to-time. Found out #3 cylinder not getting enough pressure. Think it's a burnt value that causes it. Car will run fine then I hear a click and it starts to skip. Skips for a while then runs normal. The CEL code is 17 which is the Vehicle Speed Sensor (speedometer and mileage does not work). Can all of these problems be connected to the CEL code? I just want the skipping to stop...I can deal with speedo and mileage not working.

you did a compression check and have low compression on #3 ?
Like how low was it?

did you first check the valve adjustment to be sure the valves aren't too tight?

Next step would be to put compressed air into the cylinder and listen to see if it is blowing out the exhaust, intake, or back up thru the valve cover.
you could have a burnt valve but diagnoses can save you a lot of headache and expenses.

Code 17 VSS can cause the trans to shift 'stupid' but should have no effects on the engine.
