Default How do i make Crv-tec Daily Driveable

I'm intrested in building a Crv-tec motor, acutally getting one put together for me. I've heard from different people that this motor isn't reliable, and I've heard that it can be made reliable. How can i make this motor daily driven without having to worry about a thing?? What is it gonna require? Please give me your two cents on this.

The reason people say the CRVtec's are not reliable is because people push them too hard for what they are.

If reliability is an issue you should assemble the engine with nothing less than forged components.

My CRVTEC has lasted me over 5,000 miles already and still going strong. Just make sure it is properly built, driven, and maintained. I have been through almost ever BSERIES motor there is, and I can honestly say that my CRVTEC is realiable in everyway.

it should last as long as a normal "from the factory" engine if it is built right, and driven right.

How can it be built correctly? What are the minimal requirments for the b20/vtec swap to be daily drivable. Is Machine work required? if so what musbe be done to it?

Dont push it hard. And use stock pistons. No hi compression or F/I. leave it stock and maintain it often. The reason i say no hi C?R or boost is cuz it requires tuning and tweaking. The less of that you have to do...the better.
I know it defeats the purpose...getting a crvtec and not able to race it. If you want that...then just get a B18C.
