Yeah I was there, we looked for your tent but didn't see it. I guess we expected to see like a big *** banner and stuff with girls in wet t-shirts dancing around it. There were lots of tents up that day so maybe we just missed it. I saw your cars, very cool. I was in the tech line next to your CR/VTEC hatch. I sure as hell knew when that car started rolling up heh heh.

I only saw one other Type R besides myself yesterday and it was with that JER (JIR?) group. Oh well, more attention for me. Nothing like coming back into the pits with a crowd waiting to jock your car after beating an Eclipse GS-T who had the nerve to sound off his BOV to the crowd before the run.

IMO, what track do you think is better as far as traction, Fontana or LACR?

 

Here's some random pics I took of the Honda line. My black R is in front covered by the Civic's picnic table wing haha. The Eclipse GS-T behind me was a grudge race, everything else is pure Honda goodness







Jeff was your car faster than that yellow turbo Integra? That sucker was pretty fast I thought he pulled a 12.5 or something.

There were a couple turbo integras running low 13's.

Our turbo hatch ran an easy 12 and broke the damn axle.

I am not Jeff, but I think the best track was/is Pomona. I am not sure if any of you are aware but if I remember correctly theres an event at Pomona in October 26-27. (I think I read it in a magazine)

 

They made everyone run with a muffler. Alot of cars got kicked off the track for having their mufflers disconnected.

They really having something at Pomona? I thought they were closed down to the street legals for good. I did like Pomona much better, Fontana seems like a slower track.

 

Yeah, Palmdale & Fontana don't even come close to the Pomona track IMO. I don't believe they will have street legals, they will have an event there - NHRA, Sport Compact World Finals presented by Toyo Tires, October 26-27. Check Super Street magazine, page 269. (last issue)

Pomona was the bomb. NHRA will hold an import event there, but no street legals anymore.

to bad about pomona is one of the best tracks
