quick question about h22 lma in b16 gen 1 head

can i use the 98 h22 lmas shimmed with a 0.40 washer? or does it have to be the obd1 92-97 h22 lmas? anyone let me know, they need replacing they are ticking like hell

I believe thats correct,or the Type R LMA's work well too,mine sound like they're coming apart but its quiet when VTEC kicks in.
