is the actual lock itself the same from a crx to a sedan? this doesn't sound very clear but the part where the door connects to the rest of the car and holds the door in place are they the same piece on a crx and a civic sedan?

Are you talking about using the rear sedan handles so there are no keyholes?

 

do you mean the little stubby metal post that sticks out of the cars door frame and the corresponding mechanism in the door?
