my friend just put 2.25 exhaust from the cat back and a magnaflow muffler on his 93 integra ls with a b16a. I must say it sounds damn good and he only paid 200 even for everything including a sweet 3" crome tip. Now i am thinking of getting rid of the glasspack (which dont get me wrong sounds pretty good too but the exhaust on my car is tiny) on my car and going with a magnaflow cat back from the same shop.

Now my question what would be the best size piping to go with in terms of performance for a sohc zc with stock intake and a dc 4-2-1 header?

Some might say 2 1/4 but I feel the extra EGV from 2 inch piping will help you.

 

Mandrel bent stock diameter will give you the best flow, unless you plan on heavily modding your car.

 

I got a D16a6 which for the most part the same. I went with 2" I like it. and yes with a DC 4-2-1 header. I am running a stock replacement cat.

I agree. 2" with a glasspack/resonator and muffler.

 

just out of curiousity what is the stock diameter? and also my damn exhaust rattles at low rpms. It sounds like it is coming from the mid pipe after the cat and before the rear suspension, have any of you ever had that problem?

 

I went with a HKS Sport on my crx.
I think it's perfect for my needs. It's 2" mandrel bent tubing.
It's stock looking and only has a small amount of tone so it doesn't sound like a Bee or make other misc. noises cars shouldn't make.

Just get 2" to 2.25" and you will be fine. I believe stock is around 1.5 - 1.75 or so.

 

well i'm putting 2.5" piping on mine, with a DC sports 4-2-1 header, then i'll have magnaflow caty/muffler/tip. dunno how loud its gonna be though.
