Clutch Engagement Problem, HelP!!!!
Ok, my buddy has an 89 civic hatch with a sohc zc and zc transmission. He just put in an action 2ms clutch (dual diaphram pp with 6 puck sprung disc) and we're having engagement issues. We've tightened the clutch cable down to the max and the clutch still won't even start to engage until about a a few inches from the pedal being all the way to the floor. Any looser and it won't go into gear. The pedal feel, feels horrible too.
I had this EXACT same problem with my old civic. I also had a sohc zc with a zc tranny except I had an ACT extreme pp with a street disc. We know that the clutch is aligned and installed properly and we can't figure anything else out except for maybe an issue with putting a really hard clutch in a cable d-series tranny.
Please help me figure out what the deal is. Thanks.
