99 Prelude keeps blowing EAT ECU fuse, any ideas??

resister box keeps ECU at certain temp. so it deosnt fry up...

why does it blow..is it cuz you rev high too?

 

No high revs.... just at idle... changed the fuse, then blew right back out.

 

did anyone resolve this problem? cus i got a 98 lude doin the same ish...also the abs light comes on when i brake and turn and the car dies...im a member on preludezone an nobody is yet to answer me. SonicAsh is the only other person i have seen post a remote problem. thx.

 

have a aftermarket steering wheel by chance?

 

Nah all stock except intake and header back...I think I fried my ecu, water came thru the floorboard/firewall on the pass. side....Also eff'd up my abs unit...pretty sure its the abs motor relay. Idk, I spent all wknd tracing ish down and narrowed it down to those two items...its in good hands now tho...still if anybody has any more ideas hit me up. Pretty much when u turn an brake the car dies, I have no speedo/odometer and the ecu eat ecu fuse keeps blowing. Thx for reading..

 

If you give it a little throttle while in the turn will it still die? Turning and braking are both power assisted and pull vacuum; if it pulls too much and your idle speed is set too low it can cause the car to die. It has happened to me on occasion.

For the wiring stuff, you likely have a short somewhere; you'll just need to take some time and trace it down or have someone do it for you.

 

are u talking abut frying the ecu? are u using obd1 h22 low ohm injectors or wat? the sh comes with 290cc saturated injectors high ohm if u are using low ohm without resistor box u will fry ur ecu
