Default Smoking integra

I bought a japanese spec integra type-r last week. Over the last 2 days it has started smoking alot. Its smoking while driving along but after a while it clears itself. Does not smoke at starting up either. Anybody have any ideas what it could be? If the headgasket was gone it should be smoking all the time shouldnt it? I havent checked yet but i think there could be an upgraded ecu in it. Could those symptoms be a sign of overfueling?

Any help is much appreciated,
thanks,
Colin

This is a common problem with Integras. The red search feature in the right corner might help with research. I would reccomend you keep an eye on the oil level, maybe get compression, leakdown tests and go from there.

checked it all out and discovered that there is a misfire in the engine. Caused by distributor cap and rotar arm so will change both today
