SRI VS CAI - 95 accord
I cannot decide what I want to put on this year, I have to take my SRI off for the summer cause it gets too hot and it runs like crap cause of the hot air, I was thinking of either putting the SRI back on in a month or two when it starts to cool down, or get an SRI and put it on now.
Any suggestions?

Hmm I was just thinking about my SRI... I hope this is on topic. I only installed it a few months ago so I haven't gone all the seasons with it. Lately I've been getting horrible mileage, about 20% less than I normally do and the weather has just started getting very hot here. Is the bad mileage due to the SRI sucking in hot air because of the weather?
As to answer your question, I'd just put the stock intake back on during the problem and save your money... unless you got lots of cash to spare then might as well buy the CAI but I'm not sure how that does VS the SRI in the same hot weather.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but I've decided to go with an e-bay SRI myself, it should be arriving in a couple of days. I was wondering what model K&N filter people have been using with their e-bay SRIs so that I can hopefully buy my filter before the intake arrives.
Thanks!

i have a custom racing sri and it actually gave me more gains and better gas mileage when i don't race it than a cai did. id dynoed at 11hp and 8ft/lbs of torque. i'm selling it if ur interested. lemme know
Its an open box or a wall that you make to fit around your intake's filter to keep the engine bay's heat out. Make it out of some material that won't let the heat pass, like plastic.
