Integra Idle adjusting

Im trying to decrease my idle speed, its kinda high at 1000-1500rpm. Refering to this:

, i started the car and pulled out the IAC clip the car just shutoff, instead of just decreasing 100rpm. IS the car sposed to shut off when you take out the iac clip? If its not whats wrong?

I also turned the idle adjust screw all the way back and still it stays around 1200 to 1500.

i would reccomend getting the haynes or helms manual...i have not heard of taking off a clip in order to adjust idle speed...

Do 1996 integras have a form of the FITV? Cause my integra goes to 1500rpm till it warms up then goes to 700rpm...

Yes they do. That was probably your problem. Were you trying to change the idle while the motor wasn't up to operating temp yet?
