power window conversion
does anyone know if it's easy to do a power window converion on an EK hatch. I got the oem parts off of a 97 coupe. i have all the parts needed, just don't know how to do it. can't find a website or anything. let me know what you guys think
I was about to post this this exact same question tonight actually. I also have a 96 CX hatch and there is a coupe I know of being parted out that still has the doors intact. I'm wondering if the door shells of the CX/DX are made the same as EX/Si and all the power door stuff will bolt right in. I'm also wondering about the wiring, I know someone locally who put complete Si doors on his CX, but I haven't seen him recently to ask him about it. I know he did some wiring to make it work, he has acess to wiring diagrams I'm gonna try to see him within a couple days. I'm wondering how complicated the wiring is or if swapping some harnesses would be simpler.

The biggest obstacle will be running wires to your new goodies, and connecting the wires properly, as OEM Power Doors use a 25-cavity connector between the Floor and Door Harnesses.

For instance, if you have the OEM Harnesses it will be easier to connect properly, but might take longer to install... correctly...

You can also read through the FAQ thread stuck near the top. There's a lot of threads on this site. Do an archived search on "Power Window Conversion" in this forum, and look for threads with high post counts.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info JasonGhostz, I searched extensively both last night and tonight, and I now have all the info I need. Negociations are currently under way to buy all the parts off a wrecked car.
