So dissapointed w/ my H2b, any advice?
Let me tell you a little about my setup; Stock H22 longblock no cams, QSD kit, Skunk2 Manifold, Skunk2 70mm throttle body, RC440 injectors, AEM intake, DC headers, JDM Type R LSD trans, ACT 6 puck spring clutch kit. Car weighs 2200 on 24.5 M/T slicks. Dyno tuned @ 210HP and 163TQ. Thanks to Chad @ CTR for the dyno BTW.
This past Sun @ CMI's, my first pass, I almost hit the rail cause my car pulled so hard to the left; 13.66. 1.80 60 ft. Second pass perfect launch and shift. 13.55 1.90 60 ft. And I'm just so dissapointed because my B20vtec, stock longblock, Type R manifold, T/B, and injectors, JDM type R headers, stock Acura clutch kit, and JDM Type R LSD trans ran 13.00 all day. And this is a factory drop in B20vtec!!! Compared to the H2B!!!
Both B20 and H2B ran @ 7.5 on slicks. Both trap speed was around 99 to 100mph, both around the same 60 ft, both shifted @ around 7800 to 8000 rpm and unfortunately, the B20 never saw the Dyno machine.
Please if any of you H2B guys can tell me what I need to do to improve this setup besides puttiing in some cams because that's what everyone was telling me all day. I am new to this kit and not sure what I'll need to do. This really takes me back to the story of David and Goliath... Any advice will help. Should of spent the money on my B series...

you can edit the first post in that string of three to include all the info in those three successive posts.
just hit the 'edit' button and add your add'l thought, then hit 'save'
just a tip to make the thread a little more normal

i told you, you want to upgrade trade motors with me. i got a guarantee low 12's car. haha. j/k. man you should have done better. made me think twice about my h2b build. damn i might just go h2b turbo.
the slicks DEF are too big, even if the engine was built to the hilt IMO. i'm not saying get radials but 22" should be more like it.
**** if it was me i'd try the old 20's ; )

c'mon man.. you are defying logic. a stock b20 vtec is going to make max of what.. 170whp... you are making 210 with the same or better trans in the same car. give it some more seat time
switch over to smaller slicks like 22' or even 20' if you can play with the traction and try a lot of different launch rpms. it's a lot more torque than before, and it should really run better that the b20vtec did givin the current numbers posted

maybe you just sucked at driving that night, and the track probably blew too...
last year i added 35 WHP (to a 300 whp car), lightened it, and ran it on better slicks, and i couldnt get it to beat my best time from two weeks prior. just a bad day
