Default hondata reflash with stock intake?

has anyone used the reflash with the stock intake system? I know hondata says it's a "must" to have an intake with the reflash.

But since the stock system can be modified to somewhat work like a cold air, AND it's just as good as a short ram, wouldn't it technically be sufficient for the reflash?

i would say you lose HP. the reflash dumps a little more fuel and if you don't add any extra air then you run super rich and HP numbers go down.

cmon dude....they completly explain it on the website.

I wonder if chopping the resonator would increase the airflow enough? I'm all for the reflash and a new intake, so long as the new intake isn't made of metal tubing, decreases low end torque, and lags throttle response.

Im sure it does but will probably lack what an intake could give you.

im against intakes myself. waste of money IMO. bought one for my first civic and never repeated myself.

the stock system is already a cold air intake. I think Hondata Knows what it's talking about when it states that you must have and intake or a header and that the motor will lose power otherwise. On the other hand, if you order now you wouldn't have to wait for future mods to gain full benefit.

you have to have a minimum of intake OR header. as long as you have atleast a header you are fine.

why? why are you guessing that? Basically what the sentance on Hondata's site says is:

minimum intake or header

which means:
you won't feel it without some kind of bolt on mod.. whether it is intake, exhast, header or all three... just have to have something for the reflash to be worth it
