Default Front end noise

Hey all.

I'm getting a nice clunking noise from the front end of my car when I break firmly or go over bumps.

I know next to nothing about suspension so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks for any help.

It would really help if you posted some information about the car.....and first and foremost, use the Search Function!!!!

Alright, it's an EF. It has a B18. It's got some garbage Tokico blue dampers on cheap'o ebay coilovers that the po left me with. The car has 360,000km (ish) and as far as I know nothing but the springs/dampers have been changed.

I'm finding the search function fairly useless I'm wanting to find out about putting a twin-turbo H22 swap into my '88 STD hatch with rust.

Could be axles but that's not for sure, have to let somebody hear it or feel it to know for sure. Axles can start popping like like under hard braking and or accelerating even before you ever hear popping around turns like a typical axle problem indicates. If you don't know that much about your car don't try to just throw parts at it to fix it, pay the $40.00 to have a Honda tech check it out so you can spend the money in the right spot the first time

Kinda weird that you mention popping. I was just out in the car and noticed it popping away from stops and a little under breaking.

That isn't what I was asking about originally. It's this low clunking noise I get when I break. It's like there's slack somewhere in the front end and it's casing something to slam together a bit. Tie rod's?

like I said axles can cause this exact problem. but you gotta check it out and see if there are anu other loose parts in the suspension, not likely its the tie-rods but I can't tell you w/o seeing it myself.
