For my birthday, I decided to get myself a present, so I went out and got a set of front Brembo Gran Turismo Big Brakes for my SI. Currently I have the HFP 18" rims on the car and I know the brakes will fit behind these wheels (my mechanic already checked).
My question is about the stock rims. I have my stock rims wrapped up, sitting in the shed, with the idea of putting them back on the car (with the all season radials), when the rain come in Winter.
Does anyone know if the brakes will fit behind the stock wheels? Everything I have read state they will fit with "some" 17" wheels. If they are not going to fit, I might as well sell the damn things.
Thanks in advance

well, you seem like the guy to answer your question...
I don't know too many other folks that have that BBK on an SI.. you still got the stockers then try one of 'em out on the front and see what's up. Let us know if they fit (in case I ever have a few grand layin' around for brakes
)
I'd love to see pics of the kit, with HFP or stockers (if they fit)

Actually, IT Guy had the perfect solution.......just try and see it they fit.
Wish I would have thought of that.

Sounds like a plan to me.

I have already purchased the brakes. I am justing until my mechanic has an opening to do the install.
Is it possible that the JDM CTR Brembo Factory set is the same the Gran Turismo set I purchased? I think they are both 4 piston callipers.

I believe the calipers are the same, just smaller "blank" rotors. I heard somewhere the Type R brakes do fit under the factory wheels.
