Default dime size holes

What would be the best way/and other options to patching dime size holes. The ones in particular that im talking about are the door trim holes once the trim is removed. The car is already down to primer.
Thanks for all the help!

Welding them shut would be the correct method, others will tell you to fill them with fiberglass.

If I did go the fiberglass route, what would be the disadvantages? Would I have to worry about it cracking or anything? And with the doors being so thin, if I welded, would that warp the door panel at all?

thanks for your response

you tack weld while alternating sides you place the tack welds...then grind down, apply filler, sand, smooth, primer/sealer, paint, clear

You would definately have to be careful when welding, you would have to tack weld it to insure that you didn't heat the panel too much. If you tried to plug weld it, you would most likely warp the panel.

I've never filled holes using the fiberglass method, so maybe someone else can chime in and inform you a bit more on that.

Keep in mind these holes are on/in your door, which likely gets closed/slammed quite often. I wouldn't use any method, but welding.
