Default stock heat shield + top end header(RMF, hytech, SMSP)

Just wondering if anyone with any of the headers listed above has welded on tabs to use the stock heat shield with your header?

The reason I ask this is because I live in california and the more I can "hide" under "stock" parts the better =P

Does it look like the stock heat shield could be manipulated to block view of the header?
I don't see why it couldn't if anything I could just bend the heat shield till it wrapped around enough and just bolt the top 2 bolts on doesn't anyone with any of these headers see a problem with that in terms of space issues?

I'm mostly leaning towards the RMF but SMSP and hytech at still options so would like info on those as well.

i think those after market headers are going to come out too much for the stoch heat shield. . . .you can always try bending it . . . but i guess it might work . . .

http://www.blacktrax.net/project001newX.html If that link doesn't take you directly to the page. GO to blacktrax.net and go to the archived projects. The first one on page 7.

It's an SMSP with a factory heatshield fabricated to it. Hope this helps.
