Default Are JDM Recaro's slider/brackets compatible with the aftermarket seats?

Firstly..

If i were to sell my recaro's without the seat rails/brackets etc etc.. would i be able to fit say.. for the sake of example, a set of Sparco seats onto them?

Or would the only way to go would be to sell the recaros with the rails etc.. and buy another set with the sparco replacements.

My second question is that if i replace them with a seat thats non adjustable.. how would passengers go about getting into the rear seats? Moving the seats to the front at maximum is still behind the edge of the door.. and even using the adjustments it's hard enough to get a middle sized passenger to the rear as it is.

Is it simply impossibly impractical to buy a non adjustable aftermarket seat. Because i've never really had to adjust the tilting of the seat, just moving the whole thing backwards and forwards, and using the lever to tilt the seat all the way forward so that a small passenger can fit through to the back.

Thanks.

Just replace the drivers seat only so passengers can go to the back seat through the passenger side. Aren't you satisfied with the Recaros?

I absolutely love them like crazy but being young and restless and having young, restless passengers.. i think they belong to a more worthy owner. I heard that only 3% of Recaro's in Japan are yellow. I mean people around here see my seats and they think nothing of them, i don't want them to be stolen or stained i want the next owner to protect and take good care of it. I have neither the money nor the resources to keep it.

I need the peace of mind.

Very admirable!!! I'd give you my stained, worn out USDM seats for your yellow recaro's...straight trade

If you want good setup would be sell your seats and get Fixed Bride ZetaII or Type-S verison and for the passenger get a Bride Brix which is recliner type in same colour. They only come in red or black so I'm sure they would draw alot less attention.

I would'nt replace the drivers seat over the passengers because i would rather be the one sitting in the recaro's than aftermarket ones.. if i replace the recaros, i would'nt have to kill my passengers for staining them

So i'm definately changing both if i go ahead with this.

Also, where can i have a look online at these seats? modacar.com is good, and i've seen technicasport and Taka Kaira's sites.. if you know anymore sites where i can look at these seats online that would be great.

I beleive there are afew places in sydney where they sell them as well. That way i can actually SIT in them and test them out!

i was first attracted to reading this post because i thought myyellowhonda was possibly breeding the seats and maybe we would all be able to buy one or two from the litter. Of course he would get choice, but a nice male a female pupseat and i too could go into the seat breeding business.... what a bummer when i got in here.
