how can i tell if my Fuel pump is going bad???
Ok I have a 89 Honda Civic Si I think my fuel pump might be bad. Every time I go to start my car it runs for about 5 minutes then idles rough for about 1 minute and then stalls. When I go to try to start it again the main relay under the dash by the fuse box clicks rapidly and the engine light flash along with it. Could my pump be shorting out or about to go out completely.
Possibly, what codes is it throwing? Your stalling could just be gummed up fuel filter, fouled plugs, rotor/cap issues, or a bad ground or something getting knocked around after driving for a couple of minutes.

first of all a main relay can't fail going down the road.i would check the ground strap that bolted to the thermostat housing. my guess is that bolt is loose(any coolant system lately /engine swap)
