Do whatever you think is best. We can't tell you how to do it.

If you want to cut it all up first, you run the risk or cutting too much. Find out what you need to do before you cut. It's common sense.

PS: 4 cylinder Honda motors don't have "headers" they have a "header"

exactly it annoys me that people say "headers" when there is obviously only one making it "header."

damn right, just like "I just changed to Vtec heads" like they got a V8 B32 or something.

yeah I think he's confused but I just did not menton that before. unless he actually has some CTR pistons in there with some cams to match though I doubt it. the B17 is still pretty much a B16 anyways

b17 is a b16 block.

ctr is a b18 block stamped B16b

you need to get out more.

a 2000 si head casting is still a pr3. the only difference is the cams. which still arent all that great.

a b17 block is exactly the same as a b16, with a slightly longer stroke, making it 1.7L it still made 160hp from the factory with slightly more tq.

it is in no way like a b16b or a CTR.

please homie..... post your picture here on h-t so we all can see the toughie behind the keyboard.

BTW, a header on your little motor brought the power up slightly.... cutting your cross member will probably hurt performance. so, you did it for bling.

buy a traction bar dude. not only will you get tons of clearance for everything when the old cross members is gone, you wont have to fab and chop anything.

cutting that cross member is taking a risk. but do what you must within your budget (also traction bar will help keep your front tires planted better...my 0.02 cents)
