Default timing belt issue

ok i had my haed and block both cleaned and hot tanked at a machine shop. then i assembled the motor and now i cannot get the timing belt to tighten up. i have replaced the timing belt 3 times to make sure i have the right belt and i also have replaced the tensioner. do i need a smaller belt? and is there one available??

I replaced my t-belt on my GSR a few months ago and ran into this same problem. Even installed a new tensioner as well. I was accidently given an LS/B20 belt at first and it was way too tight so trying that to fix a loose belt prob is def a no go. I also put mine on about 3 times and the prob is still there. Car still runs and all but feels like I could almost pull the belt off the cam gears with my bare hands. I checked out a few other of my friends b-series motors that have the top timing cover off and alot of them feel exactly the same. If anyone can answer this, shout some info...

plus my problem is that i had it started because it started out fine. the tension is perfect and then we started it and ran it for about ten minutes. after we shut it off, he bel felt really loose and i think it may haves kipped because the timing was way off
