well last night i had done a 70 kick and how in the hell i missed 4th gear i dont know which gear missing is somethin i very ever rarely do. when i didmy tach hit 10 grand which my revlimiter hits at 8,500 and its not tuned or chipped. well after that giving it about 1/8 to 1/4 throttle it makes this ticking sound but if you hit it about half throttle or not give it any gas it doesn't do it. the sound almost sounds like somethin is rattling. coud it possibly be a floating lifter from over revving?

 

Bent valve sounds to me. You're lucky it's still running, stop driving it and diagnose the problem before it gets worst!

With a mechanical over rev, there's nothing a rev limiter can do... If you go from third back into second, the engine has to turn. Hopefully you didn't destroy too much.

 

i didnt go back to 2nd it just didnt go into 4th. i also have BC3 cams with BC cam gears. would those fit a b16 head? cuz i was thinkin of swapping the heads out. my b16 head has a full port and polish with titaniumvalves, titanium retainers, with a 4 angle valve job. how do you think that setup would work?

thats becuz i'm thinkin of alternate routes here so that i can spend as less money as possible. i dont wanna have to go take time fixing things and spending money right now that i dont have if i can just swap a head out and be better off than i was before if it would work. i mean if you guys can give me some help i'd really appreciate it and give me yur helpful opinions on solving the situation
