Default I've succumb to fins...

ok...
im getting them..
but im not talking about the ones that go underneath the lip...(splitters?)
not the ones that portrude on each side...

the ones i want are just the "fins"...just two pieces that attach, one on each side of the car...

i searched and kept finding info about the arc/underbody front lip splitters...

where do i get the fins?

Please post any info on aero goodies.
Including the canards and the vortex generators (for the lower lip).
I'm sure Mike @ IPS has a lead ....

Anyway, I met someone a few weeks ago that built his own D Sports racer out of CF and Kevlar (mostly), and I need some ideas of what can be done to the stock front lip and rear spoiler for additional "beneficial" aerodynamics. Ed

Mike has yet to get back to me regarding the same inquiry

Canards are pretty pricey--I got a quote from someone for $240 shipped. This really throws me, cuz in Option2 they are going for 5500 yean, which comes out to 45 bucks

I can't see myself spending $240 for them at the moment. They sure do look cool though.

if you sweat them so much, at least know what they do. it makes sense in my head anyway.

Katmans picture from the last hybrid track day. The owner of the car said the car felt more neutral at high speeds.

i just came back from APC headquarters...kragen......and they couldn't help me out...

So I come to honda-tech to GET INFO from knowledeable people like yourself evergruven
thanks for the help

i'm aware that they do cause downforce...which increases traction to the power wheels...the fronts.

According to a little thing in Option2 (translated by a friend) they also create a vaccuum that helps divert air into the wheelwells to help cool the brakes.

I just happen to think that they look cool. JDM or otherwise, it is the first aero add-on that I think looks good. I don't sweat JDM wings or lips, and I don't care of the canards I end up getting are from Top Fuel or Wings West. I simply think they look good.

i wonder if the canards would make a noticable difference on stock ITR body work?

i wonder if the winglets (the ones mike@ips has) do anything?

IMO they look gay... JDM or not, unless you drive an F1 car or are a very serious racer, what's the purpose of them?? Go ahead and flame away...

IMO The Canards do more than the Splitters.
My reason for the splitters - a different look since most don't have them and the fact that my car doesn't scrape the lip on my driveway anymore.

In all reality most people who put things like this on their car Aren't going to notice any major differences unless they track their car, and even then they probably still haven't learned how to push their car to its limits to realize the parts effect.

Gamby - Didnt see the Email but you have IM.

Alright. My utmost sincere apologies for adding my unnecessary sarcasm. It is his money, so yeah, go spend it for something that probably won't help at all, Mr "Muthafockin Stoplight Assassin". Like Mike just said "In all reality most people who put things like this on their car Aren't going to notice any major differences unless they track their car, and even then they probably still haven't learned how to push their car to its limits to realize the parts effect." Enough said.

I agree with both you guys...I usually refrain from unnecessary sarcasm because it is your money and your car, on the other hand I feel like if my opinion will in any way inspire somebody on this board, I might just go ahead and post that sarcasm. sorry if my opinion doesn't please you, but that's not my job. my job is to make people think. and I think I did that and will continue to do so. glad I could help
