Tie rod problem?
So when I steer left while stopped or at low speeds I hear a weird metal grinding sound. I looked at my passenger side tie rod and noticed that the boot is ripped and grease is leaking out. Could that be what the problem is? This is on a 94 Civic BTW.
i;ve got both of my tie rod boots cut and i bought the car like it and now i feel like a fool. i thought the popping was from the axels being 15 years old, but its those.
mine doesnt have any ounce of grease in them but the joints stay together for now.
i;ll be getting to fix them within the month. i'll let you know how it goes but should be one pain in the ***. i might just replace the whole steering rack to be safe.

just get new inner tie rods and boots. they are fairly easy to do once you have the tool for it
