Timing belt on a 2003
My friend has a 2003 Acura TL-S. She wants me to change her timing belt. How easy is it to do? Any gotchas? I've done timing belts on a supra, eclipse, accord, rx-300, camry, and civics so I assume the TL-S shouldn't be too challenging. Any special tools? One some cars, like the eclipse, you need special tool(s) from Mitsu or you can fab your own.
Thanks,
Gary

It's pretty easy. You need a crank pulley holder/tool to break the crank bolt loose, impact gun won't do it usually (unless you have a 3/4" gun). Other than that, a pin to hold the tensioner after you compress it, although you could probably improvise something there.
Here's a link to a thread from a guy who did this:

All I need is for someone to make me a copy of a few pages where they go through the timing belt procedure. Does anyone have a service manual here for the 199x-2003 Acura TL or TL-S? I'll buy it if need be, but if someone can just get those pages to me, thats all I need.
Thanks,
Gary
