When you go and check the engine codes with the whole paper clip in the light blue connector on the passenger side kick panel thing, the Check Engine Light should be the item on the dash board that should blink right? Not the "S" light for the sport setting on the trans. What could I be doing wrong? I have read all the past posts downloaded all the pics and the engine codes.

Any ideas?

If it is transmission related, then the "S" light blinks the transmission trouble code, which are different than the Check Engine Light (CEL) trouble codes.

 

Well then I wasn't losing it. If there are engine codes stored then the engine light should blink and so would be the same with the "S' light on the trans.
