After an engine swap car backfired out of intake piping!
Just like the title says. It spun and spun and spun every time we tried to start it. On a couple tries it actually popped in the intake piping. We also noticed small amounts of white smoke coming out that smelled like exhaust. Furthermore (no really that isn't enough) one of the NGK Iridium spark plugs ( that was properly gapped don't worry) seemed to be missing a portion of the diode. Not the curvey part but the little filament below that. Any thoughts on this?
By the way its a zc out of a 99 domani (SOHC Non vtec).

You said nipple
Yeah they are. We marked em before we took em off.

So your firing order is correct? Iridium plugs come pregapped and are NOT gapable. You will break them if you try to gap them which sounds like you might have done. But either way i would look over your firing order and your timing and make sure there ok.
yeah we checked the gaps on the iridiums just to be sure. They were all good so we didn't try to gap them but why would it blow the end off of one of them?
