Default hondata in my b16a2 and wideband o2

i want to buy hondata obd1 for my b16a2 and a plx wideband o2 sensor for proper tuning. Now, i have read that i cant run the wideband in my car full time, and is only good for tuning, then i must switch back to narrowband...is this true? i thought that having hondata, it should allow me to run it all the time in wideband..? Also, when i buy the ecu and plug it in, do i have to immediatly tune the car or would the car run find after plugging and no tuning? thanks

I run my PLX all the time w/ the S300 no problems in place of the narrow band O2 in the downpipe.
