Default Best Anti-Theft Devices

Asides from the following thread, what are some good ways to protect a Honda from being stolen?
Shift lock, alarm, club, etc.
Post experiences too if any.

Even with a boot on one or all tires a tow truck can take all........ if they want it they get it, like the I think it was a spoon car that got stolen out of the trailer the night before the car show it was to be shown in.......

I basically want ideas to deter thieves to easier targets. Its not like I have a ITR or a FMIC or anything like that, I just want to reduce the chances of my daily driver EG getting stolen.

Eh. Just get a good alarm and hope for the best. I didn't have time to bother with a club or this that and the other thing. wouldn't have mattered anyway, my car got towed in the middle of the afternoon in a pretty normal parking lot.

I like the one about pulling off the spark plug wires enough so that the car wont start, but it looks like its in properly.

I agree with what everyone said above. I got my car stolen while at my college. I suually park at the front parking lots but I was rushed one mourning so I parked just a little bit too far in the parking lots between 2 SUVs. Yeah I was a Honda noob. ANyways, I come back and... "where's my car? Am I getting punk'd? I had a Auto Lock, Club, and $600 alarm... Not to mention kill switch... I guess my car got towed? I was only gone for 1 1/2 hours. F*ckin car thieves I hope they get what they deserve.

AutoLock is the best! Couple of years ago I had an EG HB and the goofs tried to steal my car, they tried cutting the autolock but could not do it so they ended up taking my cheap @$$ stereo and some not so valuable things from my trunk. I was able to tell how much hard work the thieves had to do from the mess they left on my car. I mean busted saw blades were all over my car and some clothes that were probably used to wipe their stupid @$$ face from sweating too much, hahahahaha! Stupid *****! A week later, my car was ready to hit the road. All I had to fix was my driver side window and put in a new stereo and some minor scratches underneath the steering wheel.

I strongly suggest to all acura and hondas owner to buy AUTOLOCK for extra protection.

It's not illegal. Even if officer expects it to be a weapon, your excuse is - prevent car theft.

None of those devices is particularly effective. The cheaper devices can be justified because they are a visual deterrent for opportunist thieves. But they're no obstacle for a dedicated thief.
