Default MR2 turbo

im thinking of selling my '94 gsr after i get it dropped and painted. its a wingless milano red DC2 with shaved emblems, a '98-01 front and rear bumper, and an ITR front lip sitting on gsr blades. im soon to drop it on eibach sportlines and KYB AGX adjustable struts.

now i want to get a 3rd gen MR2 turbo (SW20) but i was also thinking that before actually deciding to get out of hondas that maybe i should try a gsr turbo first and see if i like it. im aiming for the same amount of power daily driven either way i go somewhere around 270-280whp. thats achievable on stock internals on both cars too. i might have to rebuild my gsr though because it has about 140k miles right now but i might not at the same time because it has good compression and runs strong (ive never lost to another stock gsr).

i know there are going to be biased opinion towards the DC2 but at the same time id like to see if there are any previous MR2 owners or know anyone that has one and would like to comment. i hear MR2s are a blast to drive and i like the way they look. and also it gets off the line much quicker than a FWD car too.

I drove my friends MR2 Turbo the other day and it was fun as hell.

But, when I looked at the engine I realized how much it would suck to work on. Everything looks really cramped. It was really fun to drive though I wouldn't mind having one. I think it might be cheaper to boost the gsr though. I've seen a lot of pricey SW20s.

yea most SW20s ive seen are $6500+ but most of them are very clean. and yea ive seen the motor too and itd be a pain to work on which is another drawback.

I just sold my 91 turbo mr2, it had a 3rd gen motor swap alittle bit of bolt ons..making 263.3 WHP...its a fun little car, but it is to small for a daily driver.awesome handling and very fast. if you dont like driving peeps around then get it.

i know its small but hows the interior? is there enough space to not feel so smashed in? i mean theres not much space up front in a 240sx and i was satisfied with that.
