Default code 20 after MPFI swap

getting code 20 after MPFI swap. 91 intake manifold, 89 ecu, car is a 90 STD automatic converted to manual.
my entire interior including dash is stripped out at the moment as well.

car fires right up no issues. ecu does 20 quick blinks then pauses for a moment.
any ideas about the electrical load code or how to trouble shoot?

may i be getting the code because there is no dash/gauge cluster installed?

dan

getting code 20 (ELD) because 90-91 ef's dont have an ELD sensor, and 88-89 ecu's look for it. you need to swap an 88-89 fuse box in to remedy the problem.

new question: does throwing code 20 put your car into limp mode?

my car wont rev over 4k (sounds like its hitting a rev limiter) with my 89 si ecu that gives a code 20. so i swapped a 90 si ecu in, and it give no cells (of course) and revs up past 6k no problem. any ideas? may i have an HF ecu? it is numbered 37820-pm6-a09. ftw
