Another Engine Swap Won't Start Problem!
We swapped a 96-00 SOHC non-vtec ZC into a 91 crx si. The problem is that the engine tries to turn over but won't stay started. It spins and sounds like the timing belt is snapped but it isn't. Pulled the spark plug and you could smell gas. There was a little bit of gas leaking from the fuel filter but we should be able to fix that by turning over the washers on each side. It is getting spark when we pulled the wires and you could hear em clicking.
Where the car is located there is no internet, so i was hoping to get some ideas before we head out there. Anyone got any thoughts?

It spun and spun and spun every time we tried to start it. On a couple tries it actually popped in the intake piping. We also noticed small amounts of white smoke coming out that smelled like exhaust. Furthermore (no really that isn't enough) one of the NGK Iridium spark plugs ( that was properly gapped don't worry) seemed to be missing a portion of the diode. Not the curvey part but the little filament below that. Any thoughts on this?
