Default will a b20 tranny fit a b18a1

i want to know if a b20 tranny would fit on my b18a1 motor?
also will the b20 ecu fit my wiring harness on my car

All Honda ECUs are interchangeable as long as they're from the same generation.

Generations are:
'88-'91 = OBD-0
'92-'95 = OBD-I
'96-'98 = OBD-IIa
'99-'00 = OBD-IIb

If your ECU is a different OBD, you need a conversion harness and it'll plug right into the existing ECU harness and then plug into your ECU. You can pickup a conversion harness at http://www.jdmshit.com

As far as the trans goes...yeah, it'll work..but make sure it's not a 4wd trans or you're going to have a gaping hole in the back where the rear wheel drive driveshaft goes into.

EDIT:
PS: Using a B20 ECU on a B18 will throw the fuel tables off - they use different fuel tables - it won't run optimally meaning you won't get all the power out of it, and you won't get as good gas mileage as you should be getting.

what ecu should i go for when i want more power but i can find easy. unlike a gsr or si ecu.

i apoligize for my noobishness but i was wondering what are the benifits of putting a b20 on a b18a1 motor? Isnt the b20 tranny a CRV tranny?

3rd Gen Prelude's had the B20A
