OBX high flow cat
Tanabe G2 exhaust
99-00 si wheels

next steps:
>lighter wheels and tune then back to the track
question:
1) At what RMP do you guys launch?
2) slip clutch or pop clutch?

Just go practice, you should run 14.6-.8 or so with your mph on street tires. Don't "pop" the clutch, slip it slightly and see how each run changes your times and adjust accordingly. If your serious get a better set of tires for the front as most any fwd over 100hp can spin the tires the entire 1320.

For a guesstimation you can use simple calculators like this...

I've always had great luck with using that as it always was spot on with my best times and dyno numbers. But then again, if your not getting the most out of your setup time wise, it will be way off.

practice, practice. it will come around for ya. knowing what your car can do
makes all the better. pay attention to the lites try not to deep stage(turns off the pre-stage lite. do the same thing each time from the time you pull in the water box to watchin the lites drop. try and leave on the last yellow lite. timing is the key. good luck

The lights have nothing to do with his ET that he is trying to improve. He needs to NOT pay attention to the lights but to his launch, then when he gets it down and can do it without thinking, THEN work on cutting a decent light if he chooses to do heads up or bracket type events.

Well I have a 97' Civic, about 3450lbs with me in it. I ran a 16.8 1/4mile @89mph., personal best, but It was my first time ever at the track. I pretty much have the basic bolt ons, Short Ram K&N Intake, 4-1 DC Sports Header, a 2.5" Cat Back System, Stage 1 Exedy Racing Clutch w/Fidanza 7lb. Flywheel, and an Apexi VAFC2. Should I be hittin a better time/ I suck at racing so far, or is by SOHC V-TEC just too slow?(sorry if this seems like a thread steal but I just thought you guys might be interested?)
LoL, yea I guess so, well if Im not mistaken, my 97 civic coupe weighs about 3300 lbs?But yeah, I definetly can use the practice? You guys think a ramhorn manifold already adapted to a 14b turbo is worth 200 bucks?(used of course but in good condition of a friend)
