Default Air Conditioning

Ok my a/c does not blow cold at all compared to other vehicles i sit in. Its like it doens't even come on at all. Yet it is a lil colder with the a/c button on then off. So i kno its not the button or the electrical. And i checked the charge on system and it is 100% where it should be. So i was wondering what else could cause the a/c to not blow cold? I heard it might be the **** that controls the hot or cold not opening completely to cold. and still feeding in hot air. Is this a possibility? And how would i go about fixing this?

You may need to have it checked by a technician for a leak. Pinhole leaks cause slow emissions over long periods of time, I read somewhere that some vehicle air conditioning systems have controls that shut off a system when the system pressure drops below a certain point, that may be the cause. I am not entirely sure though that the Accord has this feature.

I have a 94 accord, too...I have the same problem, even if I have it on 3 or 4, its no way near cold...I can't decide what to do...recharge or r-134...
Should I take it to autozone and see what they suggest? or sweat out the rest of the summer?

same problem in my 95 accord. i'm used to level 4 near blowing my head off.. in this car level for is the only way to feel any air at all from the system. It has nothing to do with leaks or coolant level.

if the refrigerant is low, the system pressure is low and the compressor clutch doesnt engage because the pressure switch is open.

the **** that controls your heat/cold selection has a cable attached to it that moves the air blend door on the HVAC control box which moves another cable that opens and closes the valve out in the engine bay on the heater hose to allow or block the flow of hot coolant through the heater core.

now...does your blower speed not increase as you turn the **** from 1-2-3-4? or is the air just not cold? does the air get hot if you turn the heat on? how did you verify the a/c system has a full charge of refrigerant? if the system holds .6KG and is at .5KG, the ability of the system to cool incoming air is significantly less.
