So here is the deal. My 97' Accord will not start. For those that gave me good advice before I thank you, but to no avail it just still won't start. I checked to see if the ICM had an volatage going to it and it does. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. I checked the starter and that is fine as well. It sounds like it wants to turn over but it just won't go. I'm guessing that it is indeed the alternator. Anyone else have any other suggestions??

can you start the car with jumper cables?

 

you checked the battery right ?

SO the motor is turning but wont fire ?

or the motor isnt turning fast enough to start ?

 

ya i tried jumpin it but still nothing.

 

are you getting a spark?check the spark plugs and wires.does the motor turn over?

 

Does the starter turn over the engine?
People here will try to help you if you'll clarify the problem.

I wouldn't suggest you replace the Alt, until you do a little more diagnostics
