Default H/F Headers

Will h22 headers blot onto a f22? I have heard the h22 headers are some of the best stock headers to go w/. But I didnt want to take the time to get the welded exhaust bolts off if the headers dont fit. Has anyone ever heard or done this befor?? Feedback would be awsome.

i think that those don't transfer not sure though. I know that the h23 intake will fit up with minor customization.

Well I have some stock h22 headers and right now I have stock f22a1. Im slowly building a h23 vtec to drop it it's place. But right now I want to do my exhaust from headers back. But Im stuck right now w/ if they will swap out fine. Im going to slap the stock header on just for now if it will fit. Then when I get the full amout for the whole exaust an use aftermarket.

yep you can always just try to fit it up to then post up if it does fit. worth a try if you have the parts, and the extra time.

No an H22 header won't bolt up. An H23 intake and exhaust manifold will fit an F22 though...

f22a and h23 non vtec headers are the same... an f22b header will not fit and i dont think an h22 one will either.

edit: beat me to it. but yea what he said. who welded your exhaust bolts?

No one welded the bolts. Since this is a 93 and still stock exhaust the damn bolts are prity much welded togeather. I went found this out when replacing my Cat. Took me 4hrs to get 6 stupid bolts off.(used 2 cans of PB Blaster)
I just dont want to spend the money on headers 2 cat if the headers wont fit on my h23 vtec. And since the h22 headers wont bolt up to my f22 Im not going to even bother with it. Im not trying to do anything to this f22 untill it is taken out of the accord then Im going to make it a fully built bosted DOHC non-vtec. An maybe try to put that badboy in a REX or hatch.

don't even bother swapping in an H23 if that's what you're thinking.

If you're going to swap it, just do H22 but be really careful on boost levels if you're on stock sleeves I'm warning you right now.

Ok no the h23 vtec will not be boosted(daly driver). Im goign to build up the motor ( re sleve/port polish/forged pistions ) somthing along tho's lines. The resion I want h23 vtec b/c is has a really nice low end tourk cruve. I rather have more power in lower rpm's then higher rpm's. Also it's somthing alittle diff. from what most people swap into a CB7 (normaly just a h22). Another reasion I want to try and keep up w/ my boy who has the same set up but in a EJ8. He is lighter but Im a better driver

^^^^thats what matters the most....if your planning on swapping soon....do a write-up on it man and keep us all posted....and your choice to be different is respectable....the h23 Vtec is not very common 'round my parts....good luck man!

yeah thats kinda what I thought that it was the h23, not h22 that would fit over. also the bolts on my cat were welded, but it was a sloppy weld from a custom exhaust that the previous owner had made. dont ya love when they do the job right, lol. had to replace it because it was full of holes.

Thanx guys atleat you guys respect my choice. Just about everyone I have talked to Told me not to bother and just drop the h22. But I really no see the need to pull 8k most people think that cool and alot of power. I see it as I rather have a power band in the lower rpm's then high rpm's. And I was told I was dumb to think that way b/c honda motors arnt suposta have low end tq. (I guees it shows how much everyone THINKS they know). I have seen dino charts for a H23 vtec and the power band is the ****!!! Well when I do get around to doing this swap I will make sure to post it. I dont see me doing it anytime soon. still dont have everyting I need.
