Default how is everyones 1st to 2nd shifting?

is it smooth? do you have to pull the clutch out somewhat slow while putting some throttle back into it? it just seems so tight and its the only gear thats hard for me to shift super smoothly

I know its not the car its me. Maybe you guys can help me out a lil thanks

Shifting trucker style, like me, except I do it in the company truck and not my car.

yeah its not like i grind on anything. You can just feel the resistance a little more when you shift more than the rest of the gears. The only way i dont feel it is if I hold the clutch in then slowly let out the clutch (like pretty dam slow) and then slowly put some gas on it. sometimes i can even feel the tranny lock in its the only gear that slows me down unless im rippin it to hit vtec.

I'm glad you brought this up. After owning my car for 11 months, I still can't do the 1-2 shift super smooth...maybe 1 out of 3 times

if I shift to fast to 2nd it will grind just a tadd, I have a little issue with 3rd too, it seems like the syncros are getting worn but the car is only 8m old. when I down shift my car needs to be doing less then 8mph to go into 1st smothly or else I will get a little grind. all this stuff sucks I take good care of my car and try to be easy with it Im glad im not the onlyone going thru this. oh! and the triple digit thing is just for laughs!

no i dont shift super smooth from 1st to 2nd, i was agreeing that its something to get usto though..mine is a little rough around the edges from 1st to 2nd but every other gear is fine for me, it seems like 1st to 2nd takes a little different pressure when letting off the clutch..u gotta like let off clutch fast pause then let it all the way out more gently..thats how i do it, seems fine when i do that, and doesnt delay acceleration..

yeah dude thats what I do! And it works better. But I have to actually remember to do that you know? When your driving in traffic you're just worried about your surroundings not about shifting into second, which in my opinion should be the same as all the other gears. But you are right it does seem better when you do what you said.

No problems shifting 1-2 at normal speeds. Occasionally I'll get a grind when I'm shifting at 8200+ rpm.

Normally if I'm shifting hard, it's a full throttle shift so it sucks

well here's how i see it..if u have a probelm..eliminate it..if ur having a problem with 2nd..ur having a probelm with 3rd..so go to like 6k rpms and shift to 4th..skip 2nd and 3rd..do what u gotta do

i always wanted to ask tis question, but was thinking that its was
just me driver who was making such errors. been driving sticks
since i was 16,but my last car was an automatic, had it for three
years.

i was thinking that maybe i'm not used to driving the stick no more,
i know i will get used to it,just have to watch how you release the
clutch from first to second and second to third.

ive noticed that the gear ratios are so close that the shifts are sometimes made hastily... just take your time and dont think about it.. if you think about it you will mess up

I know the Corsport bushings helped a lot.
I allso notested the "rev hang"
When in 1st at WOT , push in clutch at 7.5k ,take a breath, shift, let out clutch 75% WOT
when taking that breath it lets rpm hang then start to go down then shift,
