Default 01 crv with a bad cat will this work?

My girlfriend has a crv with a bad cat (cel p0420) its got about 120k miles on it and it looks like the cat failure is pretty common at that milage. Do you think a cat from my 01 civc could be welded in place and work fine. I took my cat off at around 12k miles so it practically new. it looks close to the same size but i have yet to measure it.

It should work fine or go buy a generic CATCO or the like converter. At that mileage the 02 sensors are also probably due for a replacement.

thanks . Its starting to show signs of a clogged cat. (motor vibration when accelerating poor acceleration) I'm going to pull the cat and take a look. if its clogging i think i'm just going to hollow it out and run an 02 sim for now. money is short. I'll check the plugs to see if its running rich or lean. I'm sure its due for a valve adjust. I guess thats about all i can do on the cheap for now. any other advice?
