best brake pads
no such thing as best street pads.
IMO, stock is good enough for street. But there are of course better alternative.
Finding best is pretty much impossible cuz each people have different opinion.

The question of "what are the best brake pads" is rather general. It should be tied to an intended application (which you did).
"What are the best brake pads for daily driving (sic)."
Since your car probably came with OEM Honda brake pads, and you are asking this question, I will assume that you are looking for something notably better in terms of braking torque (i.e. stopping/braking power), but would also like to retain the streetable qualities of the OEM Honda pad: (1) low dust, (2) low noise, (3) good coling stopping power, (4) rotor friendly, and (5) relatively good wear rates for the pad itself.
For this type of application, I highly recommend the Axxis Ultimate compound. The Ultimate offers noticeably better braking torque than the OEM Honda compound (by about 15-20%), and has all the streetable qualities mentioned above. It is also very affordable/cost effective. The Axxis Ultimate is manufactured by Bendix of Australia, which also makes the Axxis MetalMaster brake pad. The Ultimate, however, is a completely different (and much newer) product/compound than the MetalMaster, which has been around for quite some time under different brand names.
Cobalt Friction Technologies will have a complete stock of Axxis Ultimate brake pads for Honda/Acura and other import applications in stock by the end of June. If you are able to wait, please drop me an e-mail at andiewlin@yahoo.com, and I will contact you as soon as the pads are available. We plan to have the ITR pads in stock "all the time", which means that when you call, we guarantee it to be in stock, otherwise, you will receive an additional 10% off any existing discount you are already receiving. The following Car Clubs/Groups receive a 10% discount from normal list prices:

I've used Axxis metalmaster pads and they were great! Good bite, a bit dusty but oh well.
However, the more I get to know the R, it seems that stock R kicks some serious a$$! For mostly street and some autoX, I think stock pads roXors!
