05 CR-V vibrations on full lock
My parents have an 05 CR-V ex. I happen to be moving it around the other day and i noticed that whenever i had the steering wheel on full lock i felt a lot of vibration through the steering wheel, whether i was moving or not. I'm thinking this isnt normal.... would it be the power steering pump or something else?
It is most likely coming from the rear differential. It happens when making low speed (parking lot type) turns, especially when on the throttle. The fluid may not have been changed in a while (or ever). Get the rear differential fluid changed WITH HONDA FLUID and the noise/vibration will go away. Just don't let it go for tens of thousands of miles that way or the repair is most costly.
I recommend getting the fluid changed every 30,000 miles or less.
