Default updated info on the 95 srv h22a1 prelude i might buy

http://www.trader.ca/Search/De...42%7C

i talked to the guy and am going to see the car tonight and take it out for a drive n ****, heresd what he said about the car.

engine has h22a1 vtec and he is the 2nd owner on the car and the engine has ike 259 k's on it but runs very smooth he said. ill know when i drive it tonight.

has little rust on the rear quarter pannel and some paint chips in the front around the lip area..

the interior is almost mint he said, installed by professionals? the leathers are in near mint condition. (worse comesworse sell em and swap in recaro's)

but like i said i have 2 grand to spend on this car besides the 4 grand 200 im picking it up for.
so i figure an engine rebuild and try and get a lil more for a new paint job/sand blast so that should take out the rust and **** right?, also will get an undercoat spray for even more protection..

wut do u guys think? or should i spend the extra 2 grand elswhere?

if its honda rust and its bad its somehting thats gunna prolly need to be cut out and new welded in. I wouldnt worry to much about a few paint chips its only ~160k miles i would find out if a timing belt and water pump were done. if not i would service those and give it a good tune up and start building the motor

I don't think you need to start a new thread everytime you get new info on this Prelude.

If its like my 95 SR-V the rust could be terminal. It would be a waste to fix. If you get a chance look under the rear bumper cover at the support. That is the worse rusted part of my car.

Car looks good, and I bought my si, non-vtec for 4500 usd with 142k miles on it, so I think your deal should be great! If you want to get rid of the heated seats or the wwrs kit lemme know haha!
