i went to fontana on sat and did my 1/4 mile for the first time. there were tons of itR's there, all PY, except for mine and sleepyR. it was great fun
my best that day was my very first run, 15.2@94. the rest of the day my times went down hill...

for some reason, my car kept rolling forward that time and turning off the first yellow light, so i reversed it to light it up again. this happened like twice . then the third time i reversed it to try to turn on the first light again, i was still in reverse when the tree started to count down. so i just threw it into first with no spin, just a normal take off. sucks. to make it worse, thomas did a great 60' to make me look even more slow . haha.

I talked to my friend earlier today and he said all the hondas/imports were running shitty. Mostly 14-15's, the turbo'd hondas were running 13's. He said domestics had cars in the 10's. Elevation sucks.

 

the all mota import builders' cars were putting down 13's.

 

yeah, i dont think any itr's broke 15's. tj and sleepyR were close, both had 15.1's. punks .

nwp, what times were you running?

 

my first run I broke my TPS and got a check engine light. No vtec. Day was wasted. Two weeks I will run again, hopefully without problems.

dumb question, what is TPS?

 

why such slow times was it hot outside?

 

throttle position sensor (one of the sensors on the throttle body). Caused my car to run in safe mode, and safe mode=slow.

 

yeah it was pretty hot out, i'd say about 80 degrees. and according to the direction the flags were flying, there was a little headwind.

does anyone know the exact elevation of fontana?

today was pretty cool, it was slightly drizzling for a while. Good conditions for dragging.

 

it looks like your 60' are pretty consistent, but i think you can cut 2.2s. your car should be able to hit 14.7s, keep going to the track and you'll only get better from now on. did you deflate your tires at all? i drag racing

yea the weather was fricken dope. My times sucked *** cause i kept rolling past the staging lights and redlighted 2 of my 3 runs!! gotdamn launch pad was on a downgrade!!

i met up with Andy, but neither of us were doing good

 

whats the elevation at fontana? i thought that it was sea level.

went staging at fontana is there need to have the e-brake or would you roll if you do not have it engage?

 

yeah my tires were at 26.5psi both fronts.

it wasn't packed today at all. Hardly had to wait in between runs.
