RSX garage sale: suspension, exhaust, driveline, wing, etc.
I had a fully done-up 2005 RSX Type-S, and have put it back to stock and gotten rid of it. Which means I have a lot of stuff sitting around my garage for a car I don’t have anymore, and I need to make room for the next project. A few items are new, most have been used, but none of it more than about 3000 miles at the high side. I didn’t drive the car much.
If you are not familiar with individual products, I may be able to provide more details, but searches are recommended. I have tried to outline particulars of these individual items, their use and history, any specific details you’d want to know or that would make them different than any other example of the part.
I have hi-res photos of everything. I have original instructions and installation manuals for most items. More items will be coming as I get the parts organized and ready. Some of these will be going up on Ebay as I have time to process photos, etc.
All items are available for local pickup from Long Beach to Compton and surrounding areas in SoCal, or plus shipping. I’ve basically looked for each item online, and with a couple exceptions am asking 50 percent of the “street” (internet) price for a new item. All items must go.
Honda genuine accessories car cover
This was actually sold for a late-90s Accord. It came with another car I used to have, which it did not fit, and I pulled it out for use on the RSX. I thought it would be kind of like a dress, but it fit well. It’s made from genuine Kimberley-Clark blue fabric, comes with the original storage bag. There is a small spot in the rear where it was melted due to the previous owner putting it on his car with the exhaust still hot. A great way to protect a car that has to be stored outdoors from dust, sun and the eyes of random strangers. $80
DC Sports cat-back exhaust.
This was used only a couple thousand miles before I turbocharged my RSX and went to the larger-diameter Thermal R&D exhaust (also for sale). Had this on the car when it was close to stock. Wasn't nearly as loud as the intake when accelerating. A little bit of a drone on the highway, but not bad. Polished stainless cans, brushed stainless tubing, mild steel flanges (which are rusting). You’ll want a new intermediate gasket to connect the middle section to the rear section. (You can take the old one your local Pep Boys or muffler shop). $250

Pirelli P Zero Corsa, 215/45-17 (set of four)
These are not long-life specials, rather they are ultra-high performance street tires with race track grip and handling capability. More details can be found here:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...Corsa
This particular size is slightly different than described there, in that it is more street-friendly than all the other P Zero Corsa tires, with greater initial tread depth and a higher UTQG wear rating (longer tread life). It was intended for high-performance street use on cars where it is the original size, as noted below.
I used this set for a couple thousand miles on stock wheels before upgrading to wider wheels and tires. Two have 8/32” of tread remaining (basically no wear, used on the back of my car), the other two have 6/32” (leaving 2/3 of legal wear, 3/4 of functional grip wear for race track use remaining). Two of the tires did suffer small nail punctures and were repaired professionally by Michelin-trained technicians at one of the area's premier wheel and tire stores (Shoreline Motoring in HB). I had no problems with them after the repairs, and would not hesitate to drive them for an open track day, drift, or to work. There was no internal sidewall damage to either tire from being run with low pressure.
This is original equipment size for 2005-2006 Acura RSX Type S, 2006-2007 Honda Civic Si, 2006-2007 Subaru WRX, all years Lexus IS 300 and many other cars. It is an excellent choice for use on 17x7- or 17x7.5-in. aftermarket or original equipment wheels on those and many other similar cars.
If you have nice wheels for street and show, and want sticky rubber for your stock wheels to take to the track, these would be a great way to go. I have the informational booklet/setup tip guide from Pirelli. Cost new was more than $200/each from Tire Rack, if I remember right. I’d be happy to see $320 for the set.
Thermal R&D cat-back exhaust, part number B150-C150
This is a nice part. It matches up to the stock cat at the inlet, but then tapers up to about 3-in. diameter behind that. It’s meant to provide maximum flow for turbocharged engines, and does depend somewhat on the turbo to reduce exhaust noise. I thought it was fine with the stock cat, but with the Megan Racing test pipe, I sometimes dropped it in neutral when I could to idle past a cop who looked like he had nothing better to do than pull me over. It was loud but sounded bad-a**. I had most of the interior out, noisy tires, etc. The freeway cruise wasn't objectionable under the circumstances, but I really can't compare it to the DC, as the rest of the setup was soooo different, it drove my expectations as well. I would have to dig around my garage some to find the “plug” for the exit, and it may be lost. I’m not a fan of those anyway, so I never used it. This system is not for sissies. I have the original 1-page installation instructions. $250.

Wedge Engineering seat brackets
These were custom built for my car with universal racing seat side mounts. Should be able to be made to work with any shell seat with standard side mounts and/or sliders. Mounting pattern of four bolt holes is 14.5-in. wide (side to side) by 13 5/8-in. long (front to back). These are not ultra light weight, but they are plenty strong. Include provision for mounting factory seat belts. Pair. $100.

Paypal works fine for me. One note, I can only take paypal payments tied to cash or a checking account, not a credit card. I am not a business, and haven't signed up for the credit card option. I wouldn't mind doing it on isolated transactions, but if you do that, they shave their 3 percent off everything, whether a credit card-linked account was actually used on the transaction or not, and that hurts on the bigger items.
I do have a professional reputation in my daily life and can't afford to end up on H-T's list of scammers, if you're concerned about that.
Eibach bars are in the original packaging, as they were sent to me. UPS is the easiest shipping for me.

Not yet on Honda-Tech. First part should be reaching its buyer in the next day or two.
I do have a 100 percent positive feedback rating on Ebay, including the sale of a complete car.

Starting now, if 48 hours pass between me PMing my Paypal or other info for payment in the context of any item negotiated for sale without me receiving the payment, or a good explanation of the delay (such as funds needing to clear transfer into the buyer's Paypal account), I will consider the deal canceled and resume discussion/negotiation of that item with other potential buyers.
PMs are sent with this same message to any pending sales, so the clock starts for them as well.
It just doesn't make sense to turn away potential buyers because of what could turn out to be a flake.

Sold the Exedy and Quaife locally this week. Still have everything listed above. I've been busy and had to travel for several weekends in a row on family stuff, but I'm back around, and still need space in my garage.
