That's a nice looking Prelude. If you have $2k saved up for an engine rebuild, that's more than enough. You can get a low mileage JDM H22A longblock for less than $1.5K.

h22a1 correct me if im wrong. but i would save up some money and just do a rebuild on the motor u have upgrading all the internals instead of getting a jdm one down the road. gl and early welcome aboard

Yes, but I was just proving a point that he has more than enough money saved up for an engine rebuild, since a whole new engine had be had for less than $1.5k.

How can you Not know if that motor has Vtec or not ? C'mon, Teg4Lyfe .... maybe you should stick with your LS running 6 psi and turn around from 'ludes for now. All h22 motors have VTEC !!!!!!!!!

Check the prelude FAQ, and just start reading up on here, you'll pick it up in no time.

Edit: very nice car, btw.

hes asking 5,2 i told him 4, he said 4,2 then he told me about the quarter panel rust, so i was like 4....

then hes like but my engine runs smooth then i said but u have high kms that needs a rebuild, then he said my leathers r mint and interior is clean,

then i sasid but does every function work he said yes, everythings fine but that rust and the high kms, but motor runs fine, hes 2nd owner so ima get it for 4, throw a rebuild into the engine and timing belt/water pump

thats 245000km's NOT 245000 MILES. There is a huge difference. My lude has 130miles with is 205000 ish miles. Most of the preludes on this site seem to have a good 170 MILES and are running very strong or so it appears. 170 miles is almost 300000km. Your lude should last and that thing is mint.

I live in canada and my lude is up for sale on autotrader right now as well. If mine sells this week i am all over that lude you are looking at hahahaha. May the best man win.

not really that HIGH miles. around 155,xxx miles. Remember, he is in Canada, and thats 249,000 KM, not miles.

if you can get it for 4 grand, then do it. Its a really good deal.

you can buy a longblock all day long for around a grand. you can rebuild it, and that way you know EXACTLY what you are getting, will cost between 500-1000, depending on which parts you use, OR, you can buy someone elses problems for 1k. you decide. I got pwed when I purchased an h22 longblock for 900 and this is what I found when I popped the head off....
