Default OIL PAN GASKET

my old oil pan gasket was leaking a little so put in a new one and it still is. So i guess what i am saying is there a bolt pattern that i should have followed b/c it's still leaks???

Make sure the pan rail is straight. Did the pan get hit or something.

Normally they never leak.

You should only need 4 small dabs of sealant on the four sharp corners

i think you forgot to fully clean the surface. because usually what happens is the OLD o-ring's (4 of them) get stuck to the block, and when you go to put the new gasket on, you are DOUBLING the o-rings, causing you to have a gap, therefore leakage

yea i know lol thanks it's not my first time.. i just couldn't remember if there was bolt pattern.. lol yea i know i should have cleaned the motor a little better... i did it in the middle of the night but i just checked and some of the bolts came loss

well, as far as bolt patterns go..its usually safe to say that you start in the middle and alternate outwards...

and those little bolts & nuts don't require much torque

More than likely if you have a steel oil pan, its bent. If it is D series or H series you can swap out for OEM aluminum oil pan that wont bend. Can be had for fairly cheap.
